MuraLi was founded with the idea of bringing Art, Life and Inspiration to the city.
We believe that through the realisation of a sustainable mural art project, the city’s image can be improved and more life can be given to already existing borrows.
By the transition of a blank wall turned into a piece of mural art, a purpose and extra is given to an otherwise unused outdoor space, or the so-called blind wall.
To stimulate the appeal of the city it is key to focus on the contemporary mentality of being able to participate in modern days art, without immedialtely lock it up in a museum. as the city itself can cater to this space.
Wall by wall, neighborhood per neighborhood, fraction per fraction, city by city, Livorno and it’s surroundings can be turned into an outdoor museum, with all the splendor and magnitude.
Besides the spectacular sunsets, we can give art lovers, photographers some extra education and inspirational eye-candy around.
When an otherwise mono-coloured wall is turned into a mural artwork we can only emphasize the way is opened up to give life and value to an otherwise lesser viewed area. We aim to sustain local businesses, which can enjoy the extra traffic generated by them.
At least encountering a number of artworks along the daily commute can only contribute to the daily inspiration and slower traffic speeds.
For now the fact remains that some neighborhoods strictly revolve around daily life and tourist hardly find their ways through town, just because of certain ‘attractions’. While existing facilities like bars, restaurants and ‘ice-cream’shops are available.
It might seem easy to bring the dream alive, but reality is, that the MuraLi has been long in preparing.
It’s not the most easy thing to arrange all the bureaucracy behind the project MuraLi, that what we present to you today.
